There is so much to discover here in The Great Smoky Mountains. Crystal clear rivers, dense forests, hiking trails, and so much more. All in the middle of a true wilderness wonderland.

THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOUR ARRIVAL

The location of The Great Smoky Mountains means that each and every season here comes with its own distinct benefits. For many visitors, that offers the opportunity to make several visits a year, and enjoy distinctly different experiences.

Regardless of the season you visit in, make sure you prepare yourself accordingly. If you’re coming in the summer, make sure you pack bug repellent as you’ll need it to stave off bugs and pesty mosquitos. And if you’re here in the early spring or late fall, bring plenty of warm clothes as the evenings can be chilly.
